Dr. Rae Queen

Program Director

Rae began her career serving the special education needs of elementary age students. Her heart for teachers led her to develop one of the first ever private teacher certification programs in Texas. Eventually relocating to the San Antonio area, Rae and her husband, Collen, grew what would be the predecessor to Teachworthy. You can always find Rae actively guiding new teachers to be their best.

Collen Queen

Collen joined Rae in Teacher Certification after having taught Biology and becoming a Physical Therapist for several years. Seeing the need to better prepare new teachers to enter the classroom moved him to come back to education. He’s also an incredible cook with a taste for BBQ.

Monica Mariott

Monica taught at the secondary level for many years before pausing to raise her family. Wanting to get back to serving teachers, she joined Rae and Collen. Happily married for over 28 years to her friend from first grade, anyone that visits with Monica will see how being a cheerleader for 11 years translates to her cheering on new teachers.
