  2. TEST & TRAIN: Work at your own pace to master desired subject(s)
  3. TEACH: Gain classroom teaching experience and earn your certification

Once you connect with your Personal Program Advisor, they will walk you through these steps and develop a specific plan for your certification journey.


Basic Requirements for Teachworthy

You must have completed or be in the final stage of completing your bachelor’s degree with the requirements below:

  • 2.5 GPA minimum posted on official degree conferred transcript, or
  • 2.5 GPA minimum in the last 60 semester hours of course work attempted
  • Students in their Final Semester* of obtaining a 4-year bachelor’s degree can enroll on a contingency basis
  • Graduates from outside the U.S. must complete all portions of the TOEFL iBT and submit a course-by-course evaluation to be considered for admission

* Defined by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board as the traditional Fall, Spring or Summer semester.
